More 2010 base camps unveiled

With a few more months to go before the kick-off of the 2010 world cup in South Africa, more and more qualified countries are disclosing the final location of their base camps: Uruguay, Honduras, New Zealand, Greece, Italy, USA, Spain, Chile, and Brazil.  For a more complete list of base camps for the 2010 world cup, please click here:

Uruguay – The football team of Uruguay has chosen the Protea Hotel in Kimberley as their base camp.

New Zealand – The Serengeti Golf Estate in Gauteng will be the 2010 world cup base camp of New Zealand.

The United States – The American team will settle at the Irene Country Lodge located between Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Italy – The Italians have chosen at the Leriba Lodge in Centurion. Initially the Italian football team wanted to stay at Irene Country Lodge, which has been taken by the USA.

Spain – The Spanish football team will use Hunters Rest in Rustenburg or the University of the North West’s PUK Sports Village in Potchefstroom as its base camp for the 2010 world cup.

Brazil – The Brazilian football team has their eyes set on Bloemfontein, but are now staying Fairway Hotel and Spa in Johannesburg or Randpark Ridge Golf Club Hotel during the world cup.

Greece – The Greeks have chosen the Beverley Hills Hotel in Durban as their 2010 world cup base camp.

Honduras – Will be staying in Johannesburg. The location has not yet been disclosed.

Chile – It seems that the Chilean football team will set up their base camp in South Africa’s Mpumalanga province.
